Canada Day is here! The place we call home is turning 152 years old in 2019. How should you celebrate the occasion? What are some ways to feel more Canadian? We put together some ingredient information for those health conscious and patriotic Canadians out there!

Here’s a look how we are utilizing our Canadian ingredients in our energy bar kits! Looking at The Original (The OG) we have 5 SIMPLE ingredients:

Gluten-free Oats

Sourced just outside of London, Ontario. Our oats are gluten-free and happily Canadian. 

Health Fact: It helps with weight management! Oats keep you fuller longer, helping you stave off hunger pangs.

Pure Honey

Our products contain pure Canadian honey. We’ll never source from anywhere else because we have such amazing honey in Canada! 

Health Fact: It lowers blood pressure. Honey contains lots of antioxidant compounds that have been linked to lowering blood pressure.

Fair Trade Chocolate Chips

We love chocolate & our sweet tooth got even sweeter by supporting Fair Trade from our supplier in Ottawa, Ontario. 

Health Fact: Cocoa in chocolate is rich in fiber, iron, magnesium, copper, manganese, and other minerals.

Natural Peanut Butter

Natural peanut butter is an essential part of the OG kit helping to bind together all the ingredients!

Health Fact: It is a great source of vegan protein! Peanut butter contains 7.02 g of protein per 2 tbsp serving.

Raw Almonds

In the pure form that tastes so great! We boost the flavour and protein in our kits with some raw almonds that we grind to the perfect size. 

Health Fact: They are one of the best sources of vitamin E. 1 ounce of almosts provides 37% of the RDI (recommended daily intake). Studies linked vitamin E intake with lower rates of heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease.
